Advertisers pay to display banners right? Well, companies are giving software to people which display banners while you surf the web! (check e-mail, visit other websites etc.) By displaying advertiser banners, they get paid for showing them. This is how they make their money.
The way YOU get a portion of it is if you sign up with them and start surfing the web with their program running (The program that displays ads). They pay you per hour you surf the web ($.60 depending on company)
The maximum # of hours that is allowed per month is around 40 (depending on the company). These companies pay you around 20$$ / month by check. You also get paid more money if you refer your friends.
